Prime's Tank Wash associates help to maintain cleanliness and safety of our tanker units

Responsibilities

  • Wash interior & exterior of tanker trailers.
  • Use of high pressure, high temperature pressure washer.
  • Driving of jockey truck (on yard only).
  • Use of hand tools & power tools occasionally (skill saw, grinder, drill, etc.).
  • Maintain & repair tools, work area & equipment when needed.
  • Performs related work as required.
  • Pay- About $23/hr depending on performance

Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred, but not required

 

Abilities

Must be detail oriented, self-motivated & able to work well alone and/or in a team. Candidate needs to have excellent communication skills & be able to work flexible hours (12 hour shifts) possibly including nights and weekends.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

 

Physical Requirements

This position is very physical and requires the ability to perform strenuous activity for long periods of time.  This position requires constant forward reaching, grasping and finger manipulation; also requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and hand control. Candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs and push and pull up to 100lbs. Candidate must be able to pass a job specific post-offer physical prior to beginning employment with Prime, Inc.

 

Working Environment

Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors. Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team. Applicants for the position understand and acknowledge that PRIME assesses particularized workplace dangers associated with the tank wash sites and involved facilities in the manner governed by 29 CFR 1910.132(d). PRIME’s hazard assessment and equipment selection program is fully aligned with the prescribed OSHA and related regulatory requirements (as defined in 29 CFR 1910.132(d)), and all associates and applicants agree to fully comply with PRIME’s hazard assessment and equipment selection guidelines, protocols, and programs at all times. All required personal protective equipment will be provided by PRIME to each associate at no cost to the associate.

 

Licensing/Certification

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
